TANZWUT Raises Its Voice Against a Cold World with “HERZ AUS STEIN”

German Mittelalter-Rock band TANZWUT have released their new album "HERZ AUS STEIN" today via NoCut. On the record, the band confronts an increasingly harsh zeitgeist, channeling a more defiant sound driven by rock and punk influences while focusing on the struggle to preserve one’s humanity in a world that has seemingly turned to stone.
The idea at the heart of the album is articulated directly by frontman Teufel. He explains that TANZWUT have stripped away even more of the masks behind their “Spielmann” identities this time around, arguing that beneath the spectacle and the noise, we all share the same human condition. In his view, the world can often feel as though it has turned to stone, and the band’s aim is to use music to make the heart beneath that stone perceptible again.
That approach is also reflected in the musical character of "HERZ AUS STEIN". While TANZWUT retain their familiar rock identity, the sound takes on a more pronounced punk attitude. 'Rosenkrieg' and 'Keine Band für eine Nacht' continue the band’s rock-oriented direction, while 'No Future' represents the album’s harder edge through more pronounced punk tones.
One of the album’s standout tracks, 'Die Sänger singen noch', takes aim at another very current issue: artificial intelligence. Through the growing role of technology in music production, TANZWUT use the song to raise the question: “Could we be among the last real singers?”
Now available in several physical editions, "HERZ AUS STEIN" comes in Grey Black Dust Vinyl and CD-Digipak formats, alongside Red Marbled Vinyl and Liquid Vinyl editions exclusive to the NoCut and TANZWUT shops. The limited Fanbox, restricted to 666 copies, includes the album as well as a signed autograph card, a chain with a heart pendant, eight printed coasters, a band-logo toiletry bag, and a red patchouli-scented soap.
The special campaign launched alongside the album’s release will continue until 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, September 10. Ten of the limited Fanboxes will contain a golden heart. Those who find one will receive the chance to attend a TANZWUT soundcheck, access the VIP area at one of the band’s concerts, and a merchandise voucher.
The new album will hit the stage as part of the "HERZ AUS STEIN - TOUR 2026". Joined by SAGENBRINGER as special guests, the tour kicks off October 16 in Frankfurt and will visit cities including Cologne, Munich, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Leipzig, Hannover, Dresden, and Berlin. TANZWUT will perform at Musikzentrum in Hannover on November 14, with the tour concluding at hole44 in Berlin on November 21.
