Swedish DSBM band TÅRFÖDD are preparing to release their seventh studio album, "En Känsla Av Hopplöshet", marking their second full-length release of the year. Purity Through Fire has announced September 28 as the album's international release date.

Formed in 2022, TÅRFÖDD have quickly established themselves as a prolific presence, with a discography that now includes six full-length albums, nine singles, three EPs, and several collaborative releases. At the creative center of the band is Simon Lindgren, who once again handles all instruments as well as vocals on the new album.

"En Känsla Av Hopplöshet" follows the album "Mörker täcker livets ljus", released earlier this year, and the "Skyfall" mini-album, which arrived at the beginning of summer. While the rawer, stripped-back approach that became particularly apparent on "Skyfall" has not been completely abandoned, TÅRFÖDD take a faster and more aggressive direction on the new record. Blast beats become more prominent throughout the album, while Lindgren's melodic and emotional approach remains the central element balancing its harsher side.

Another notable aspect of the album is its use of acoustic guitar. In some passages, Lindgren positions the acoustic guitar as a stark contrast to the black metal textures, while elsewhere he layers it into denser walls of guitar. As a result, the band's depressive atmosphere is shaped not only through speed and distortion, but also through the interplay of different guitar textures.

The newly released 'Totalt Mörker' offers the first glimpse into this approach on "En Känsla Av Hopplöshet".

The album's closing track and title song, 'En Känsla Av Hopplöshet', serves as the culmination of TÅRFÖDD's dark narrative. The album is scheduled for release on CD on September 28.
