Tasmanian extreme metal rising force THE ABSOLUTION SEQUENCE have released their new single “The Nightlight Sigil” ahead of their upcoming debut album Dread Cycle. Alongside the third track from the record, the band has also dropped a brand-new video, now available on online platforms.

According to vocalist Shawn Wells, the song centers on one of the band’s most personal narratives. It deals with family trauma, toxic upbringing environments, and the emotional devastation an individual is left with in the aftermath of such experiences. Wells stresses that bringing these dark themes into the open and talking about them is an important part of the healing process.

On the production side of the album, Chris Themelco is credited, while mastering was handled by world-renowned Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios. Dread Cycle will be released via Bleeding Art Collective and distributed through Blood Blast Distribution. The band previously underlined the album’s aggressive and technical edge with the earlier singles “Idols of Confraternity” and “Ghost Mantra.”
