German black metal band THE AEONS TORN are preparing to release their second full-length album, “Void Artefakkts,” on November 27, 2026. The album’s first single, ‘Rite of Dread,’ continues the Lovecraftian path established by the band on their 2025 EP, “Lovecraftian Hunger.”

A defining feature of ‘Rite of Dread’ is its mid-tempo structure and prominent clean vocals, setting it apart from the heavier, slower Doom passages and fierce Black Metal eruptions found across the album. The song transforms Lovecraft’s world of cults and cosmic horror into a ritualistic narrative built around fire and terror.

With “Void Artefakkts,” THE AEONS TORN will take the band’s horror aesthetic into a broader cosmic framework. The album focuses on the point where scientific understanding of the universe intersects with cosmic horror. This approach is reinforced by a dynamic structure that moves from heavy Doom sections into sudden Black Metal surges, while screams, deep growls, and clean vocals create an atmosphere shifting between dread and despair.

Spoken-word passages constructed around scientific quotations also play an important role in the album’s narrative. By reinforcing the idea of cosmic mysteries that lie beyond the limits of human knowledge, these passages point to an approach in which the Lovecraftian influence of “Void Artefakkts” extends beyond its lyrical themes alone.

The album will feature six tracks. Alongside songs such as ‘Amid the Daemon Flutes,’ ‘Echoes of the Darkspace,’ and ‘Ring of Starlit Madness,’ the first single ‘Rite of Dread’ and closing track ‘The Dreamer Beneath Europa’s Tide’ complete the album’s dark, cosmic narrative framework.

“Void Artefakkts” will be released on November 27, 2026. ‘Rite of Dread’ is now available to stream via Spotify, Bandcamp, and YouTube.
