Budapest-based death metal band VÉR has announced the release date for its debut full-length, “A Féreg Pusztulása”. The album will be released on CD and vinyl LP via Me Saco Un Ojo Records, with an international release scheduled for December 3.

The band has also unveiled a new track from the album, ‘Paranoia’. A video for the song has been released through Me Saco Un Ojo’s official YouTube channel.

“A Féreg Pusztulása” follows VÉR’s “Demo”, released in September 2024. The demo was issued on cassette by Me Saco Un Ojo shortly after the band emerged, offering around 18 minutes that established their early death metal approach.

On the new album, VÉR brings together old-school death metal influences with a broader atmospheric approach. The source material points to traces of early CEMETARY, GRAVE, IMMOLATION, and ABSU in the band’s sound, while emphasizing that VÉR’s approach is not limited to simply repeating those influences.

Throughout “A Féreg Pusztulása”, viscous riff structures, distinct hooks, and more intricate song structures stand out, while a dark atmosphere plays a central role in the band’s music. The use of FX pedals and greater variation in dynamics are also among the elements that expand the album’s traditional death metal framework.

The album’s cover artwork was created by Brad Moore.
