Landgasthof Wacken Stage Line-Up Unveiled for Wacken Open Air

Wacken Open Air has revealed the 2026 programme for Landgasthof Wacken (LGH), one of the festival's long-standing satellite stages. Hosting a diverse selection of artists from across the metal spectrum throughout the week, the venue's standout attraction will undoubtedly be Heaven Shall Burn's exclusive club show, scheduled for festival Thursday.

Attendance for this special performance will be strictly limited, with only 400 fans gaining entry. Tickets will not be sold; instead, they will be allocated through a prize draw held exclusively for Wacken Open Air 2026 ticket holders. As with the band's most recent tour, the performance will take place under the "Pay With Your Blood" initiative. Although this edition of the campaign is no longer directly linked to blood donations, it continues to promote the same message of social responsibility and raise awareness about the importance of donating blood.

Heaven Shall Burn vocalist Marcus Bischoff emphasized that blood donation is a vital act of solidarity capable of saving lives, adding that, having worked as a nurse for many years, he is genuinely pleased to see the campaign return. Bischoff also praised the unique atmosphere of Landgasthof Wacken, promising fans an intense and high-energy show.

The LGH schedule extends well beyond Heaven Shall Burn. Festival-goers will also have the chance to catch Jäst, the newly formed outfit featuring members of Grave Digger, Orden Ogan, and Freedom Call; doom/punk supergroup The Limit, fronted by Pentagram legend Bobby Liebling; Chilean act Mawiza, renowned for its ritualistic, nature-inspired performances; and Die From Sorrow, one of the leading names in China's melodic death metal scene.

The line-up is further strengthened by Swiss modern rock duo 2Silent, progressive metalcore act Cevret, death hardcore outfit Dry and Shattered, XOXO, and the unconventional The Hebridean Sheep, who fuse groove metal and punk without using guitars.

Beyond the live performances, visitors will once again have the opportunity to step on stage during the traditional Metal Karaoke Massacre. Rounding off the Landgasthof Wacken programme, the tongue-in-cheek Jazz Sabbath will deliver a special breakfast performance during the closing days of the festival.
