Album Review
Armored Saint - Emotion Factory Reset
Two cult names that helped shape the American heavy metal scene of the ’80s, Armored Saint and Metal Church, are reuniting this fall for a co-headlining tour across North America. Announced under the title “The Metal Saint Tour 2026,” the extensive run will kick off in California in early November and come full circle, concluding in the same state toward the end of the month.
Throughout the tour, both bands will deliver full set performances, with LiveKill handling opening duties. This union—merging nostalgia with contemporary output within the same crucible—is being regarded as one of the most notable events of the season, particularly for fans of classic American heavy metal.
Unity Behind the Scenes and a New Era Emphasis
Armored Saint vocalist John Bush emphasizes that the tour is not merely a series of concerts, but the reawakening of a metal brotherhood stretching from the ’80s to the present, brought back to life on stage. The band also notes that they will carry the renewed creative momentum of their latest album into their live performances.
On the Metal Church side, guitarist Kurdt Vanderhoof expresses the excitement of sharing the stage once again with a long-standing circle of friends. The band frames the tour both as a tribute to their past and an opportunity to showcase their current creative strength.
Tour Schedule and Ticketing
The tour will begin on November 2, 2026, in San Juan Capistrano and conclude on November 21 in Agoura Hills, California. Along the way, major stops include Phoenix, Denver, Portland, Vancouver, and San Francisco. With both bands performing extended sets, the shows will span a wide geographical stretch across North America.
Tickets are set to go on sale on Friday, May 29 at 10:00 a.m. local time. VIP packages will also be available, underscoring that the tour is designed not only as a musical event but also as an immersive fan experience.
Heavy Festival Circuit and European Dates
In the period leading up to and following the tour, both bands will remain active on stage through various festivals and special appearances. Their summer European schedule includes major festival slots in Germany, Sweden, Belgium, and the UK. Notably, select joint performances alongside Metal Church further signal that this collaboration will not be limited solely to the tour itself.
Armored Saint continues to stay in the spotlight with promotional activities and special events centered around their new album. The band is currently navigating a particularly intense period, both in terms of studio output and live performance.
Bringing two pillars of American heavy metal onto the same stage, this tour is poised to stand as one of the most compelling live runs of the 2026 fall season.
