Occult black metal outfit ACHERONTAS is preparing to release a special mini-album built around the band’s three-decade history, the Draconian tradition, ritual practice, and the figure of Tiamat. Titled For the Blood of Tiamat – Praxis I – XXX Years Anniversary of Magick and Metamorphosis, the release is set for October 30 via OSMOSE PRODUCTIONS in international editions on CD, 12" vinyl, and cassette.

Distilling thirty years of “Nightside” experience, practice, contemplation, and relentless exploration, the release consists of four tracks representing four stages of a single initiatory rite, according to the band. The structure moves from the awakening of inner sovereignty and the experience of self-deification to a ceremonial offering dedicated to Tiamat and, ultimately, a stage in which the opposition between light and darkness dissolves.

The first gate of the ritual opens with 'Crowned in the Higher Self', which turns toward the concept of the Higher Self through the awakening of the “Draconian Current.” The following 'Abyssic Rite of Self-Deification' centers on the dissolution of the profane self through blood, fire, and experiential initiation.

At the heart of the mini-album, 'For the Blood of Tiamat' serves as an offering to the Primordial Mother Tiamat, regarded here as the source of transformation, Magick, and the eternal cycle of becoming. The four-track structure concludes with 'Ex Tenebris Ad Lucem, Ex Lucem Ad Abyssum', where light and darkness cease to exist as opposing forces and become a single gateway opening onto the Dragon’s journey beyond matter and time.

ACHERONTAS describes the four tracks not simply as individual compositions, but as stages in a single initiatory process that begins with the awakening of the Higher Self and progresses through self-deification and the ceremonial offering to the Blood of Tiamat. The Draconian Archetype, which the band associates with ancient philosophies, ritual practices, and the hidden sciences of transformation, forms the central axis of this narrative.

According to the band, three of the tracks embody the “atavistic, raw, and timeless” character that has always defined ACHERONTAS, while the fourth serves as the ceremonial culmination of the entire rite through fire, blood, and a vision that exists beyond matter.
