The Chilean black metal outfit Ad Finem Omnia is preparing to return with its second full-length album, Senectus Viae. The record will be released worldwide on July 6 via Purity Through Fire in digipak CD format.

Having drawn attention with their 2022 debut No Peace – No Dawn, the band quickly secured a firm place within the underground scene thanks to an approach that fused traditional black metal with melodic and melancholic textures. Featuring musicians who have also been active in bands such as Sol Sistere, Animus Mortis, and Totten Korps, the group continues to stay true to its roots on this new release.

Following the debut album, a lineup change saw Ricardo Araya depart, leaving Pablo Vera in sole control of the project. Despite this shift, Ad Finem Omnia’s musical identity reportedly remains largely unchanged. While Senectus Viae preserves the band’s characteristic balance between atmosphere and memorable songwriting, it also presents a harsher and sharper tone compared to its predecessor.

One noteworthy aspect of the album’s production is the involvement of former member Ricardo Araya in the mixing and mastering processes. In this way, a natural connection is maintained between the band’s past and present, while Ad Finem Omnia continues its path of interpreting classic black metal aesthetics through a modern lens.

Tracks titled “Anguish and Revelation” and “The Hermit and the Wind” have already been made available to listeners ahead of the album’s release. Unveiled alongside cover artwork created by Daniel Hermosilla, the album’s tracklist is as follows:
