Philippine avant-garde extreme metal band DEIPHAGO have released ‘Undeified’, the first track from their upcoming sixth studio album, "Hexessence Satan". The track, which runs for over eight minutes, offers the first glimpse into the album's musical direction and conceptual framework.

Scheduled for international release in the first half of 2027 through Hells Headbangers, the album is built around a seven-stage concept. ‘Undeified’ represents the fifth stage of this narrative, dealing with the abolition of divinity. According to the band, the idea is not about Satan overthrowing God and taking his place, but about eliminating the very concept of divinity altogether. As they put it: “No throne is inherited. The throne is abolished.”

Explaining why they chose ‘Undeified’ as the first single, DEIPHAGO emphasise that the track represents how far they have pushed their music to date. Moving beyond the conventional structures of black metal and war metal, the composition features unconventional guitar parts, drumming that constantly shifts the music's direction and tempo, and unpredictable arrangements. The band stresses that they chose a track exceeding eight minutes not for its accessibility, but because it directly conveys the album's musical approach.

With this first single, DEIPHAGO aim to introduce listeners to the musical character of their new era without revealing the entirety of the album's seven-stage concept. According to the band, rather than following the established conventions of black metal or war metal, "Hexessence Satan" places previously unexplored compositional approaches and musical development at its core.

"Hexessence Satan" will be DEIPHAGO's sixth studio album, released through Hells Headbangers. Further details about the album are expected to be announced in due course.
