US death metal band ASCENDED DEAD have released “Live Apocalypse” through Carbonized Records. Recorded during the band's American Apocalypse Tour in May 2024, the live album documents their stage performance using direct soundboard recordings and also marks a return to the Marshall sound of their early years.

“Live Apocalypse” was put together to preserve the raw character of ASCENDED DEAD's music in a live setting. The performance, captured during the May 2024 tour, was subsequently mixed and mastered for release. While bringing back the Marshall sound the band used in its formative years, the recording retains the more aggressive and unrestrained approach developed across “Abhorrent Manifestation” (2017) and “Evenfall Of The Apocalypse” (2023).

Formed in 2011, ASCENDED DEAD built their sound around the influence of early POSSESSED, NECROVORE, and VENOM. Developing their dark, primitive death metal approach through underground shows and releases, the band began reaching audiences beyond Southern California following the release of their debut album, “Abhorrent Manifestation”, in 2017. Their 2023 follow-up, “Evenfall Of The Apocalypse”, offered a more complete expression of the sound they had been working towards.

ASCENDED DEAD's live history extends beyond North America to Europe, Southeast Asia, and Australia. The band toured Europe in 2019, 2023, and 2024, followed by a full US tour in 2024. In 2025, they further expanded their reach with performances across Southeast Asia and Australia. Their festival appearances include Maryland Deathfest, Kill-Town Death Fest, Metal Magic, and California Deathfest, among others.

The album was engineered by Steven Jackson, mixed by the band's drummer Charlie Koryn, and mastered by Greg Wilkinson. The artwork was created by Kyle Bowen.

“Live Apocalypse” is available on CD, LP, cassette, and digital formats. Its eight-track setlist includes selections from the band's repertoire such as 'Ungodly Death', 'Bestial Vengeance', 'Fissure Of Chaos', and 'Visceral Strike'.
