Spanish death metal band BARBARIAN PROPHECIES continue their more than 25-year history in the extreme metal scene with their new studio album, “Echoes.” The eight-track release is set to arrive digitally and on CD through Base Record Production on September 12, 2026.

“Echoes” expands upon the Scandinavian death metal foundation of BARBARIAN PROPHECIES with elements of melodic death metal, hardcore, black metal, progressive metal, and classical music. This range of influences stands out as one of the aspects of the band’s long-running career reflected in the new album.

Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Iván Ferro at Kollapse Studio in 2025, the album opts for a more organic and natural production rather than an overly polished sound. BARBARIAN PROPHECIES aimed to keep the performances rawer while staying closer to the band’s own identity.

The lyrics of “Echoes” revolve around human mysticism, roots, and the connection with something that exists beyond time. This thematic framework accompanies the album’s death metal-centered musical approach.

The newly released video single from the album is among the first tangible steps in the promotion of “Echoes,” which also features tracks such as ‘∅,’ ‘Néboa,’ ‘Prometheus,’ and ‘Das Letzte Wort.’
