New Hampshire death metal band DOMINION have released ‘Grisly Discovery of a Female Torso’, the first track unveiled from their debut full-length album, “Mortification of Thy Flesh”. The song premiered via the No Gleaming Light YouTube channel.

Formed in 2019, DOMINION have centered their approach on old-school death metal from the outset, as a reaction against the genre’s modern interpretations. The project was started by Uncle Sadism (grunts, guitar) and Ogre (bass), and after developing material without a drummer for an extended period, the band established its initial lineup with the addition of Flagellator in 2022. The four-track “Evil Control” EP, the product of this period, was released via Sinistrari Records in 2024.

The band’s lineup changed ahead of its debut full-length. Flagellator, who performed with DOMINION in 2024, was replaced by Claytanas, a drummer from the New England death metal scene. The band also brought Noctis into the lineup as a second bassist.

Recording sessions for “Mortification of Thy Flesh” took place in November 2025 at Witch House Studios in Groton, Massachusetts. The nine-track album includes ‘Grisly Discovery of a Female Torso’, alongside tracks such as ‘God Is a Psychopath’, ‘Divine Misogyny’, ‘Serial Rape’, and ‘Sexual Sadism’.

The album represents DOMINION’s pursuit of a return to old-school death metal in full-length form and will receive an international release through Sinistrari Records on October 12.
