DREAMER Unveils First Album with “Regress” Video
DREAMER Reveal Debut Album “Autogenesis” with “Regress”
Extreme progressive metal band DREAMER have released ‘Regress’, the first single from their upcoming debut full-length, “Autogenesis”. The track brings together the band’s different musical facets, combining technical passages and melodic transitions with a quieter section featuring clean vocals.
DREAMER say ‘Regress’ was composed to reflect the band’s overall musical approach. According to the band, the track moves between expansive melodic sections, a strong emotional atmosphere, fast-paced technical passages and a more subdued clean-vocal section. Its structure brings these contrasting elements together while repeatedly returning to earlier motifs.
Due out December 11 via Beyond the Top Records, “Autogenesis” features nine tracks. Following DREAMER’s instrumental demo released in 2021, the album will be the project’s first official full-length, presenting its musical vision with a full lineup. It will be available digitally, on CD and in two vinyl editions.
DREAMER began as a project by guitarist, composer and producer Christopher Beattie, with the lineup taking shape after demos were released in 2020 and 2021. In 2022, Beattie joined death metal band THE ZENITH PASSAGE and contributed songwriting to their Metal Blade Records release “Datalysium”. This took place while DREAMER were quietly working on their debut album.
The current DREAMER lineup features Kyle Chapman on vocals, Josef Hossain-Kay on drums, Christopher Beattie and Zachary Rivizzigno on guitars, and Ricky Alvarado-Cabrera on bass.
The video for ‘Regress’ premiered via Heavy Blog Is Heavy. Pre-orders and listening options for “Autogenesis” are available through the band’s Bandcamp page.
