German death metal outfit ENDSEEKER are bowing out of the scene with their new EP Coffin Born, bringing their career to a definitive close. Released on June 19 via Metal Blade Records, the record marks the band’s final studio statement, while its biggest surprise comes in the form of a David Hasselhoff cover, “True Survivor.”

The EP’s most striking moment arrives with the reinterpretation of the cult film Kung Fury track, featuring guest appearances from Lord Of The Lost. The band emphasizes that the choice was entirely driven by fun and spontaneity, and the coming together of two different Hamburg scenes on a single track results in something far outside the usual template.

Closing a career spanning over a decade, ENDSEEKER use Coffin Born both as a final chapter to their discography and as a last document of their uncompromising, aggressive sound, without deviating from their established direction. Strong influences of Swedish-style death metal rooted in the HM-2 tradition remain clearly present throughout the EP.

In announcing their decision to disband, the group highlights years of creative output, extensive touring, and the fact that they maintained a consistent lineup throughout their run. “We wanted to end things the way we started – as friends,” the band notes, positioning this final release as a fitting conclusion both in the studio and on stage.
