German doom metal band Fvneral Fvkk have unveiled their new track ‘The Beast of Speyer’ ahead of their second studio album, "Indecent Idols". The song, the second track to be revealed from the album, premiered via InvisibleOranges.com.

Formed in Hamburg in 2015, Fvneral Fvkk build their musical approach on an epic doom metal foundation, while their lyrics focus on documented crimes, abuse, and corruption committed by religious institutions throughout history. This approach has remained central to the band's discography, from their 2017 EP "Lecherous Liturgies" to their 2019 debut full-length "Carnal Confessions".

‘The Beast of Speyer’ represents a continuation of this approach on "Indecent Idols", which will be released via Dying Victims Productions on October 23. According to the band, the album brings together expansive riffing rooted in the epic tradition of classic doom metal, heavy melodic structures, and a more intense atmosphere. From its opening choral arrangements onward, the album's sonic world is built around a dynamic between expansive and dense passages.

Cantor Cinaedicus' clean tenor vocals also emerge as an important part of this musical contrast on the new release. As the band's heavy, ceremonial doom metal approach meets the cleaner character of the vocals, the tension between sacred associations and dark themes is maintained throughout the album.

‘The Beast of Speyer’ is the second track to be unveiled from "Indecent Idols", following the previously released ‘Bishop of the Iron Guard’. That track premiered via Deaf Forever.

"Indecent Idols" will be released internationally by Dying Victims Productions on October 23.
