GROTESQUERIES Cuts Its Lineup Down to Two for New EP
GROTESQUERIES return as a duo
GROTESQUERIES are returning with a new EP, “Nightmare Delirium”, following their album “Vile Crematory”, released three years ago. Announced by Caligari Records, the four-track release marks a new phase for the band while also introducing a lineup change.
Across its 16-minute runtime, “Nightmare Delirium” sees GROTESQUERIES operating as a two-piece. Founder Yianni Tranxidis continues to handle drums and vocals, while COFFIN BIRTH member Anthony Paulini takes over bass and guitar duties. The new lineup maintains the approach established on the band's previous album, continuing along an old-school death metal path drawing equally from the American and European traditions.
“Nightmare Delirium” centers on manipulation, fear, and the effects of malicious intent on the human mind. These themes, as reflected in the EP's title, form the narrative axis of the band's new material. The four-track release closes with a cover of the CANNIBAL CORPSE classic ‘Gutted’.

The EP's ‘Corporeal Purulence’ is available to hear via Caligari Records' Bandcamp page, where the CD edition of the EP can also be preordered.
Caligari Records has set October 30, 2026 as the international release date for the CD edition. The cassette version will be distributed by Rotter Records.
The tracklisting for “Nightmare Delirium” is as follows:
‘Terrorforming’
‘The Crown of Spinning Steel’
‘Corporeal Purulence’
‘Gutted’ (CANNIBAL CORPSE cover)
