French black metal outfit HANTERNOZ has made its third full-length album, "A Hed an Noz, a Noz, a Noz", available for streaming in its entirety ahead of its official release. The album is set for an international release on August 7 via Antiq.

Comprised of seven tracks, the record is built around supernatural beings and dark elements drawn from Breton folklore. Throughout the album, figures such as fairies, dangerous nocturnal spirits, the devil, a corpse, a fire-associated mythical creature, and the spirit of the woods are explored through narratives that intertwine historical events with childhood memories. The song titles further reinforce the concept by representing different stages of the night.

The album artwork places Ankou, the personification of death in Breton mythology, at its center. Depicted as an undead figure wielding a scythe, Ankou symbolizes both death and the fear of death, while the cursed man driving the cart represents a soul trapped between life and death, burdened by his regrets. The sunset backdrop and the warmly lit house in the distance provide a subtle glimmer of hope within the album's otherwise bleak narrative.
