Known for their ritual-based live performances, HEILUNG will embark on a seven-date tour of Australia and New Zealand from 1 to 16 March 2027. The run will open with two consecutive nights at the Sydney Opera House, marking the band's return to the region following their shows there in 2023 and 2024. Singer-songwriter Lilith Max, whose work draws on dark folklore, mythology and fantasy, will join as special guest for all six dates outside Sydney.

HEILUNG's live performances are built around a ceremonial narrative rather than a conventional concert format. The ritual is led by Kai Uwe Faust, appearing masked and horned, alongside Maria Franz in white attire, with percussion instruments spread across the stage. At the band's 2024 performance in Perth, the evening began with the burning and smudging of native plants and concluded with a cleansing ceremony performed for each member.

The band's return to Australia and New Zealand follows a series of successful appearances in the region. HEILUNG played sold-out shows in Sydney and Melbourne in 2023 before returning for a six-date run in 2024. The 2027 itinerary also includes Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Auckland.

The tour will take place a few months after the release of the band's new album, "Sagas". Due out on 11 December 2026 via Season of Mist, the album brings together recordings created by Maria Franz, Kai Uwe Faust and Christopher Juul in collaboration with Ninja Theory for the video game Senua's Saga: Hellblade II, alongside previously unreleased material. "Sagas" will be HEILUNG's first studio release since "Drif". The album's lead single, 'Læknisgaldr', is already available.
