Graspop Metal Meeting has announced the final headliner for its 30th anniversary edition in 2027. German power metal pioneers HELLOWEEN will bring their special 40th anniversary show to the festival on Thursday, 17 June, closing the North Stage programme for the day.

Following the return of Michael Kiske and Kai Hansen in 2017, HELLOWEEN reunited its three-frontman line-up, with Andi Deris also remaining at the helm. Since then, the band has released two albums: the self-titled "Helloween" (2021) and "Giants & Monsters" (2025). Their 40th anniversary world tour kicked off in late 2025, took a brief winter break, and resumed in spring 2026. The celebrations are set to continue into 2027.

Emerging in the 1980s, HELLOWEEN played a major role in shaping the European power metal scene. Albums such as "Keeper of the Seven Keys Part I" and "Keeper of the Seven Keys Part II" remain cornerstones of the genre, while songs like ‘I Want Out’, ‘Future World’ and ‘Eagle Fly Free’ continue to rank among the highlights of the band's live shows.
