Italian experimental post-metal outfit HOLLOW BONE have opened a new chapter in their career. The Milan-based band have announced their signing with Octopus Rising, celebrating the beginning of this collaboration with their new single “Amigdala”.

Formed in 2016 under the guidance of drummer, percussionist and composer Carlo Garof, HOLLOW BONE have spent the years since developing a distinctive musical identity by blending post-metal’s crushing atmospheres with electronic textures and downtempo influences. The band stand out with compositions that move beyond conventional genre boundaries, shaped by cinematic structures and deeply emotional layers.

The new track “Amigdala” emerges as a powerful reflection of the band’s experimental approach. Throughout the song, layered arrangements, hypnotic rhythms and constantly shifting atmospheres come together, inviting listeners into a dark and immersive experience that moves away from traditional song structures and instead unfolds as a sonic journey.

Another defining element of HOLLOW BONE’s music is their unique approach to vocals. The band’s name draws inspiration from the “Hollow Bone” concept of Frank Fools Crow, a respected figure within the Lakota Sioux Teton tradition. This philosophy, centred around intuition, creativity and spiritual openness, also forms the foundation of HOLLOW BONE’s artistic vision. Through sound, the band aims to guide listeners not only through heavy riffs but also towards a deeper intellectual and emotional exploration.
