HULDER Opens "Verbolgen" for Full Pre-Release Streaming

American dark black metal project HULDER has made its third studio album "Verbolgen" available for full streaming ahead of its official release. Scheduled for release on August 7 through Season of Mist and 20 Buck Spin, the album represents a new chapter for the band, built around dark atmospheres and the roots of traditional black metal.
Comprising nine tracks, "Verbolgen" also marks a new milestone in HULDER’s musical journey. The album is the first release to officially welcome Necreon as a co-leader in the band’s creative process. The collaborative approach between the two musicians plays a defining role in shaping the record’s overall structure.
The album also features contributions from several guest musicians. Keld (MAJESTIES, OBSEQUIAE, CELESTIIAL) adds hurdy gurdy, additional guitars, and keyboards throughout the record, while drum duties are shared between Vapula and Vrolok across the tracklist. Ianuaria also appears on the album with guest flute performances.
"Verbolgen" was recorded at Elektric City Recording in Portland, Oregon, as well as at various locations by the band itself. The album was mixed by Ahti Kortelainen at Tico Tico Studios in Finland, while mastering was handled by Mika Jussila at Finnvox Studios in Helsinki.
The album artwork was created by Morrigan. The cover marks the artist’s first metal commission since 1996, while the logo design was created by Jannicke Wiese Hansen and the photography was handled by Liana Rakijian.
Appealing to listeners drawn to the sounds of Bathory, Dissection, and Moonsorrow, HULDER’s "Verbolgen" features the following tracks:
