French black metal project HYVER will release its fourth album, "La Fête de la Forêt Enchantée", on October 8 via ANTIQ. The band has also unveiled a new track from the album, 'La Danse de la Forêt Enchantée'.

One of the album's defining features is the way its concept unfolds through the song titles rather than directly through its lyrics. The tracklist presents an absurd story that begins with an invitation to a mysterious path through the forest and gradually descends into a feast spiraling out of control. The narrative starts with 'L'Invitation' and 'Un Chemin Mystérieux', moves through 'Dans la Clairière' and 'A la Lune Levée', and eventually reaches the album's title track, 'La Danse de la Forêt Enchantée'.

Here, HYVER, together with KOSHKA NETOPYR (Little Bat), combines a raw black metal foundation with a more playful musical approach. Aggressive drumming and black metal vocals are set against cheerful synth touches, while the vocal approach takes the form of what the band describes as “bat shrieks.” Rather than aggression, the album's overall atmosphere puts exuberance and absurd joy at the forefront.

The story takes a turn with 'Le Toast des Crapauds' and 'Le Ver de Trop'. The forest feast suddenly descends into chaos when a toad is stepped on, while the closing track, 'Arrivée de l'Ambulance', follows the attempt to save the injured amphibian to the sound of ambulance sirens. In this way, the album's concept becomes a self-contained narrative with a beginning and an end, constructed through the sequence of its tracks.

The album's newly released track 'La Danse de la Forêt Enchantée' is now available through ANTIQ's official YouTube channel. The track is also available on ANTIQ's Bandcamp page, where the album is available for pre-order.
