Chilean Mapuche groove metal band MAWIZA are set to release their first acoustic EP, "IÑ MONGELETEW" (Those Who Give Us Life), a work centred on their traditional roots. Prepared in the wake of the band's performance alongside Sepultura, the EP brings the acoustic approach embodied by Sepultura's 'Kaiowas' together with Mapuche cultural heritage.

Due out on digital platforms on November 6, 2026, the EP features three reimagined tracks from the band's 2025 Pulsar Award-nominated album "ÜL", alongside two new compositions. 'Wüzapiwken' (Divided Heart) and 'Mür' (Dual) are among the new material written for the release.

The EP's notable guests include HEILUNG's Mira Ceti and DANEFAE's Anne Olesen, both of whom contribute to 'Mür'. Their involvement shows MAWIZA bringing vocalists from different musical backgrounds into the EP's acoustic arrangements.

With "IÑ MONGELETEW", MAWIZA aim to retain the intensity of metal through acoustic arrangements. The full EP is available to hear ahead of its release date via the official EP stream on the band's Season of Mist YouTube channel.
