Finnish metal trio Rapid have begun the countdown to their highly anticipated debut full-length, Enter the Realm of Fire. As the band presents the new album track “Witchcraft of Horror” to listeners, the release date for the record has also been confirmed.

Rapid first made their mark on the underground metal scene with their 2022 mini-album Blackstar Oppression Regime, a release that fused the aggressive energy of hardcore punk, the driving momentum of speed metal, and the dark atmosphere of early black metal through the band's own distinctive lens. That short-format effort was widely regarded as merely a glimpse of the band's true potential.

Arriving after several years of anticipation, Enter the Realm of Fire stands as Rapid’s first full-length album, set for release nearly a decade after the band’s formation. The new record demonstrates a more expansive and mature approach to songwriting while remaining firmly rooted in the foundations the band has carried with them since the beginning. By bringing its classic heavy metal influences more prominently to the forefront, the album aims to offer a broader musical scope without sacrificing the dark and uncompromising identity that defines Rapid.

The songs featured on the album are said to bridge the gap between traditional heavy metal and the contemporary dynamics of the underground scene, while bassist and vocalist Vincent Revenge is reported to deliver a performance that is both stronger and more distinctive than on previous recordings.
