German death metal outfit REVEL IN FLESH are preparing to return with their new studio album "Flesh For The Kult Of Death". Set for release on September 18, 2026 via War Anthem Records, the album marks the band’s return to the darker side of the classic Swedish death metal legacy with a revamped line-up.
A lyric video for the album’s title track "Flesh For The Kult Of Death" has also been unveiled. Described as the beginning of a new chapter in the band’s career, the new release brings the dark atmosphere and crushing riff-driven approach that shaped REVEL IN FLESH’s early years back into focus.
"Flesh For The Kult Of Death" combines the raw spirit of the band’s early releases with the experience they have gained over the years. Sharp guitar tones, bleak melodies, and the unmistakable character of traditional Swedish death metal form the foundation of the album, while the band also incorporates the songwriting maturity developed throughout their journey rather than simply looking back at the past.
The album’s lyrical themes explore realms of death, decay, and dark cult imagery. REVEL IN FLESH maintain their devotion to the aesthetics of classic death metal while merging the genre’s raw energy with a contemporary production approach.
The tracklist of "Flesh For The Kult Of Death" features standout titles such as "Bodybag Inferno", "The Graverobber", "Tombstalker", "Death Kult Maniacs", and "The Last Farewell". The album artwork was created by renowned artist Juanjo Castellano Rosado.
The renewed REVEL IN FLESH line-up features Ralf Hauber on vocals, Jonny Pettersson handling guitar and bass duties, Simon Abele on guitar, and Erik Barthold on drums.
With their new album, the band aims to once again showcase their deep-rooted passion for traditional death metal.
