REVOCATION To Celebrate 20th Anniversary With Massive Tour
American technical death/thrash metal powerhouse REVOCATION is preparing to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its career with an extensive touring schedule. During a special North American run kicking off this fall, the band will bring a selection of material spanning different eras of its discography to the stage.
The concert series, titled 20 Years Of Torment, will begin on September 10 and conclude on October 10. Throughout the month-long trek, REVOCATION will be joined by brutal death metal standouts Defeated Sanity, hardcore/death metal crossover force Fuming Mouth, and rising act Weeping. The tour is scheduled to commence immediately following the band's European performances this summer.
Founder, vocalist, and guitarist Dave Davidson stated that the upcoming tour will not only serve as an anniversary celebration but will also showcase the band's musical journey from its earliest days to the present. The setlist is expected to cover a broad spectrum of material, ranging from early releases to more recent works, while several tracks from the latest album are also set to receive their live debut.
REVOCATION will take the stage at major European festivals and club shows throughout August. The itinerary includes prominent events on the extreme metal calendar such as Alcatraz Festival, Brutal Assault, Dynamo Metalfest, Kaltenbach Open Air, and Deathfeast Open Air. In addition, the band will perform special headlining shows in Italy and Slovenia.
The Boston-based outfit further solidified its standing within the modern extreme metal scene with last year's New Gods, New Masters. Balancing technical prowess with powerful riff craftsmanship, the album received a strong response from both critics and fans, and was widely regarded as one of the band's most notable recent releases.
Tickets for the concerts taking place as part of REVOCATION's 20th-anniversary celebrations are now on sale. The band promises a comprehensive live experience encompassing its entire career, aimed at both longtime followers and metal fans who will be witnessing REVOCATION on stage for the very first time.
