First 13 Bands Announced for STEELFEST XV
STEELFEST Lineup Revealed
One of Finland’s extreme metal festivals, STEELFEST, has announced the first names for its 15th edition, set to take place in 2027. The three-day festival is expected to feature around 40 bands, with 13 acts revealed in the first announcement.
The first confirmed names for STEELFEST XV include Norwegian avant-garde black metal band DØDHEIMSGARD, black metal entity ARCHGOAT, and French black metal band OSCULUM INFAME. OSCULUM INFAME will perform a special set celebrating the 30th anniversary of their debut album "Dor-nu-Fauglith".
Other announced acts include Greek black metal band ACHERONTAS, British death metal outfit GRAVE MIASMA, British pagan black metal group WINTERFYLLETH, and American black metal project NYOGTHAEBLISZ.
The first part of the lineup also features Canadian black metal band MOOSEGUT, French black metal act MORTIFERA, American black metal band MAQUAHUITL, along with ABYSSION, RIETAS, and KRATTI.
At the festival, DØDHEIMSGARD will deliver a special performance focusing on the band’s 1995–1999 era. The set will include material from the periods of "Kronet Til Konge", "Monumental Possession", "Satanic Art", and "666 International". ACHERONTAS, meanwhile, will present the final performance of their album "And Cosmos from Ashes to Dust...." exclusively at STEELFEST.
The STEELFEST organization has also shared the results of the visitor survey conducted after the 2026 edition. With more than 300 participants taking part, the festival received an overall experience rating of 9.2 out of 10. The venue scored 9.5, staff satisfaction received 9.6, and sound quality was rated 8.8. According to the survey, 95% of attendees plan to return to the festival.
STEELFEST XV is being prepared as a three-day event featuring around 40 bands. Following the first 13 confirmed acts, approximately 27 more names are expected to be announced for the festival lineup.
