Ukrainian heavy progressive rock outfit STONED JESUS have announced “Songs to Moon”, the second chapter in their three-album “Songs” trilogy. Alongside the announcement, the band has unveiled the music video for the album's lead single, 'Velvet'.

Serving as the follow-up to 2025's “Songs to Sun”, “Songs to Moon” features seven tracks in total. According to the band, the new album retains the weight and melodic character of its predecessor while embracing a more introspective, atmospheric, and experimental direction. With acoustic arrangements playing a more prominent role, the record is described as one of the darkest and most emotionally charged releases in STONED JESUS' career.

The album's lead single, 'Velvet', stands out as a composition that brings the band's doomgaze influences further to the forefront. Frontman Igor Sydorenko describes the track as an answer to the question, "What if Nirvana played shoegaze?" The song arrives alongside a music video inspired by the visual aesthetics of the 1990s.

“Songs to Moon” also features 'Syzygy', the band's first-ever instrumental track. As the album progresses, acoustic guitar arrangements and more restrained vocal performances come into focus, while STONED JESUS continue to preserve their signature sound by blending progressive rock, doom metal, and alternative rock influences.

The album was produced by Igor Sydorenko. Recording took place at Goblin Sound Studio in Cologne, Germany, while mixing and mastering were completed by Karl Daniel Lidén at Studio Tri-Lamb in Sweden. The cover artwork was created by Vadym "Karaska" Karasiov.

“Songs to Moon” will be released on CD Digipak and in four different vinyl editions.
