Temple ov Ahriman, the one-man black metal project based in Texas, USA, has kicked off the release campaign for its highly anticipated debut full-length, Heretics of Consensual Reality. Ahead of its official release date, the album has been made available online for listeners to experience in its entirety.

Brought to life during the Covid-19 era by the project's mastermind Thornicator, Temple ov Ahriman emerged from the idea of giving years' worth of accumulated compositions a distinct identity of their own. Following studio plans that were postponed due to the pandemic, the musician entered an intensely productive creative period and eventually realized that the material had grown beyond the scope of his existing band, prompting him to establish a solo venture.

Set for independent release on June 26, Heretics of Consensual Reality aims to immerse listeners in a dark and aggressive atmosphere across its roughly 42-minute runtime. Thornicator notes that completing the album proved to be a formidable challenge, explaining that after years of recording sessions and production work carried out across multiple studios, he finally achieved the result he had envisioned.

Musically, Temple ov Ahriman combines the spirit of second-wave black metal with elements of modern Finnish black metal and D-beat influences. With its debut album, the project is poised to make an impression on the underground scene. Comprised of eight tracks, the record fuses classic black metal sensibilities with contemporary touches through razor-sharp riffs, aggressive tempo shifts, and a bleak atmosphere.
