UHRITULET Announces Release Date for Second Album “Ruumissavotta”
What changed on UHRITULET’s second album?
Finnish black metal band UHRITULET has announced that its second studio album, “Ruumissavotta”, will be released on October 19, 2026, via Purity Through Fire on digipack CD. The album’s title track is also now available to hear.
Following their self-titled debut album from 2023, “Ruumissavotta” retains UHRITULET’s core musical approach while moving toward a more defined and controlled sound compared to its predecessor. According to the source, the new recording pulls back somewhat on the rawness of the debut, instead bringing a cold and sharp production approach to the fore.
The martial character of V.P.’s UHRITULET project is more pronounced this time around. While the band’s predominantly mid-tempo approach is expanded with harsher and more rhythmic passages on the new album, Finnish folkloric and melancholic elements remain embedded in the compositions. Transitions into calmer, cleaner sections create a dynamic contrast without completely stripping the songs of their aggressive character.
Another notable element on the album is V.P.’s occasional use of clean vocals reminiscent of Isengard. This choice introduces a different vocal color within the rigid and intense black metal framework of “Ruumissavotta”, standing out as one of the details that distinguish the album from the band’s debut.
The broader framework of the new album shows UHRITULET continuing its approach rooted in the aesthetics of 1990s underground black metal. “Ruumissavotta” will feature eight tracks in total, with a demo version of ‘Liekin Takaa’ appearing as a bonus track at the end of the record.
