XTINGUISH THE CODE Unveils ‘Falling Down’ Video From New Album “The Conflict”
Metallic Hardcore Assault
Bronx, New York-based metallic hardcore outfit XTINGUISH THE CODE has unveiled a new video for ‘Falling Down’, taken from the band’s second studio album “The Conflict”. Released via Grey Matter Records, the album stands out as a dark and intense release that merges the band’s aggressive hardcore roots with elements of metal, hip-hop, and groove-driven approaches.
Formed in 2019, XTINGUISH THE CODE shapes its sound around the traditions of New York hardcore (NYHC), enriched with modern metal influences. Featuring Dusty Onita on bass, Nate Boogie on drums, The Professor G Flava on guitar, and BJ Allen on vocals, the band has carved out a distinctive identity through hard-hitting rhythms carrying a street-level energy, crushing beatdown sections, and metallic textures.
Throughout their career, the band has shared the stage with influential acts including D.R.I., Sworn Enemy, Downset, Madball, Life of Agony, and Sick of It All. Following their 2021 debut album “Step To My World” and 2023 EP “Matter Of Fact”, XTINGUISH THE CODE continues their journey with Grey Matter Records.
“The Conflict” represents more than just a new album for XTINGUISH THE CODE, as it also marks the band’s first conceptual release. Built around a narrative that follows the transformation of an ordinary individual into someone driven toward social awareness and change, the album explores themes such as working-class solidarity and global awakening. The record was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Joe Kusak at Amplitude Recording.
The new video for the album’s closing track ‘Falling Down’ was filmed by Jojo Moran. Vocalist BJ Allen explains that the song focuses on a person reaching their breaking point and arriving at a moment where they can no longer endure what they have been facing.

XTINGUISH THE CODE continues to remain active on the live front alongside the release of “The Conflict”. Throughout 2026, the band will bring the album’s energy to stages across the New York area and beyond, with upcoming performances in Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, and various other locations.
“The Conflict” is available now on LP, CD, and digital formats through Grey Matter Records. Combining the raw legacy of NYHC with metallic aggression, groove-heavy riffs, and a modern hardcore perspective, the album offers a compelling listen for fans of the genre.
