Portland-based progressive death metal band ÆNIGMATUM have released their third studio album, "Infinitude’s Passage". The album is now available on digital platforms, while preorders for the physical editions have also begun.

"Infinitude’s Passage" pushes the technical and atmospheric approach established on the band’s previous release, "Deconsecrate", even further. With compositions built around complex rhythmic structures, dark melodies, and a high level of technical intensity, ÆNIGMATUM continue to carve out a distinct space within the boundaries of death metal.

Throughout the album, sudden tempo shifts, fractured rhythms, and interwoven harmonies stand out, as the band brings together dense musical structures with a clear sense of composition. Moving constantly between fast and aggressive passages, melodic transitions, and dissonant textures, the songs reinforce the album’s progressive character.

With "Infinitude’s Passage", ÆNIGMATUM balance their technical approach with atmospheric elements. The band combines influences from different eras of death metal with their own complex and experimental expression, resulting in a new chapter in their sound.

During the recording process, the drums were recorded by Charlie Koryn at Elektric City. Guitar and vocal recordings were handled by Pierce Williams, while Brian Rush engineered the bass and bass clarinet recordings. The saxophone recordings were completed by Patrick Corona. Reamping, mixing, and mastering for the album were handled by Colin Marston at Menegroth, The Thousand Caves.

ÆNIGMATUM’s current lineup features Kelly McLaughlin (vocals, guitar, bass clarinet), Eli Lundgren (guitar), Brian Rush (bass, backing vocals), Pierce Williams (drums, synths, backing vocals), Patrick Corona (saxophone), and Danny Quetzal (backing vocals).

The physical CD and LP editions of "Infinitude’s Passage" will be released on September 4.
