Louisville-based black metal band ANAGNORISIS is preparing for a six-date tour across the US Midwest following the October release of its fourth full-length album, "Caregriever". Dubbed the Seasonal Depression Tour, the run will feature Plaguewielder as support on every date. One of the tour's key stops will be the band's first hometown show in Louisville in a decade.

The tour kicks off on December 8 at Haven Haus in Memphis, followed by Cobra in Nashville on December 9, Sinkhole in St. Louis on December 10, Raccoon Motel in Davenport on December 11, and State St Pub in Indianapolis on December 12. ANAGNORISIS will wrap up the run on December 13 with a performance at Portal in Louisville.

The band's live schedule won't end with December. As ANAGNORISIS prepares to announce further dates for 2027, the band is also set to perform at Northwest Terror Fest in Seattle, taking place May 6–8. Held at Neumos and Barboza, the festival's lineup includes ARTIFICIAL BRAIN, CATHARSIS, DEADGUY, NAPALM DEATH, and LAIR OF THE MINOTAUR, among others. These performances will mark ANAGNORISIS' first shows on the West Coast. Further dates surrounding the festival are expected to be announced in the coming days.

At the heart of the tour is "Caregriever", the album that marked the band's return after nearly a decade of silence. Centered on the experience of watching a loved one gradually deteriorate and eventually die over the course of five years, the record looks beyond the aftermath of death itself. Anger, guilt, depression, isolation, and exhaustion emerge from the intersection of caregiving and grief, forming the core of the album's narrative.

Musically, ANAGNORISIS moves away from much of the symphonic scope that characterized its previous releases, opting instead for a darker, more direct black metal approach. While retaining its post-black metal foundations, the band incorporates elements of industrial music and punk into its compositions, translating the emotional weight of the album's subject matter into its musical framework.

"Caregriever" was recorded and produced by Zak Denham and Zachary Kerr, with mixing and mastering handled by Denham. Niels Riethorst contributed vocals and lyrics to 'Death Of Man', while Josh Mumford provided backing vocals and James E. Kerr contributed samples. The album artwork was created by August Friedrich Schenck and Charles Maurand.

The US vinyl and digital editions of "Caregriever" were released through the band's own label, Negative Reflections, with the US CD edition handled by Bölverk Collective, the European CD and vinyl editions by Vendetta Records, and the cassette edition by So Below Productions. Details on the available editions can be found here.
