BOSPHORUS OPEN AIR METAL FEST will introduce a new format for its sixth edition in 2027, moving to a one-day event featuring two stages. Preparations are already underway for the festival, which will take place at KüçükÇiftlik Park in Istanbul on September 18, 2027.

The first bands confirmed for the new format have also been announced. So far, the lineup includes Germany's KANONENFIEBER, the Netherlands' TEXTURES and Norway's VREID. The organisers have revealed that the festival's next major announcement will be its headliner, with official ticket sales set to begin alongside the reveal.

Expanding its scope for the sixth edition, BOSPHORUS OPEN AIR METAL FEST will also share further details about the Bosphorus Music Conference and Bosphorus Photo & Art Exhibition in the coming months, alongside its musical programme.

The September 18, 2027 event will bring international metal acts together in Istanbul across two stages in a single day. Further band announcements and the headliner reveal are expected in the coming period.
