Irish death/thrash metal trio CUTTHROAT are preparing to firmly stake their claim within the underground scene with their long-awaited debut mini-album, Invoking Terror. The release will arrive on June 19 via Dying Victims Productions in both CD and 12" vinyl formats.

Having previously drawn attention with two demos released in 2023 and 2025, the band now steps forward with its first substantial recording, consisting of five tracks. Clocking in at approximately 25 minutes, Invoking Terror showcases a harsh and aggressive character that carries the spirit of old-school extreme metal into the present day.

CUTTHROAT’s musical approach is rooted in the dark death metal and thrash metal traditions that took shape during the late '80s and early '90s. Steering clear of technical showmanship and modern trends, the band opts for a direct, riff-driven, fast, and destructive sound. In this respect, the record stands out as a strong expression of devotion to the underground scene’s classic era.

Ahead of its international release, Invoking Terror has been made available for full streaming through the New Wave of Old School Thrash Metal YouTube channel. As a result, fans have the opportunity to experience the band’s debut EP in its entirety before its official release date.
