DISSIMULATOR – New Track Premiere – Second Album “Artifice Dissolves” Set for October 2026 Release via 20 Buck Spin
DISSIMULATOR decodes the future’s darkest circuitry
Canadian sci-fi-themed technical Death-Thrash band DISSIMULATOR have released another track from their second album, “Artifice Dissolves”, due out October 2, 2026 via 20 Buck Spin.
With “Artifice Dissolves”, Montreal-based DISSIMULATOR venture beyond the formidable sonic framework established with “Lower Form Resistance”, plunging into a future world where technological hegemony and destructive entropy exist in perfect equilibrium. Their sharp-edged sci-fi Death-Thrash has evolved into an increasingly labyrinthine construct, bringing razor-sharp riff structures and volatile rhythmic architecture together.
“Artifice Dissolves” moves like a rogue artificial consciousness constantly rewriting its own code, with each section revealing another imagined dimension within DISSIMULATOR’s bionic mythology. Razor-sharp guitar lines, alien yet equally familiar, intersect and collide at impossible angles, while the rhythm section drives tracks such as “Alloyed” and “Neon Metropolis” through constantly intensifying states of velocity, collapse, and reconstruction. The result is a powerful sense of movement that remains uninterrupted despite its relentless complexity.
An impressive convergence of futuristic world-building and unrestrained, uncompromising technical aggression, “Artifice Dissolves” emerges as the cyborg hallucination of a civilization rotting away in the shadowy corners of its autonomous megacities, the fevered, warped dreams of an omniscient God-machine, and the malignant side effects of cybernetic enhancements. Beneath the album’s dazzling precision and violent momentum, however, DISSIMULATOR retain a timeless human striving for order and transcendence beyond technology.
Cover artwork was created by Noah Cutter Meihoff (Ghost, Imperial Triumphant).
