U.S. post-skramz outfit DREAMWELL has returned with another preview of its upcoming album, "Hymns For The Denial Of God", due out August 28 via Prosthetic Records. The band has released the new single, 'Carrion Birds On The Ark', alongside an accompanying music video, offering another glimpse into the record's dark and unsettling atmosphere.

The new track fuses the band's abrasive post-hardcore and screamo foundations with tense bass lines, piercing feedback, and an emotionally charged vocal performance. Lyrically, it delivers a scathing critique of the long history of abuse within religious institutions and the systematic efforts to conceal those crimes. Vocalist Keziah "KZ" Staska explains that the song's central metaphor represents abusers who lie in wait like carrion birds, preying on the vulnerable when the opportunity arises.

Formed in 2020, DREAMWELL quickly established itself as one of the standout names in the modern post-hardcore and metalcore landscape. Following "Modern Grotesque" and "In My Saddest Dreams, I Am Beside You", the band's third full-length shifts its focus to the misuse of faith, religion's role in social division, and the contradictions created by religious authority. Rather than framing the subject as a straightforward attack on religion, the band approaches it through a more nuanced lens, examining how faith can be manipulated and exploited.

The album was recorded at Silver Bullet Studios in Connecticut with producer Chris Teti. Developed throughout the band's rehearsal sessions, the material reflects a stronger sense of collective songwriting while bringing together intense screamed vocals, unconventional riff work, and crushing rhythms across its ten tracks.
