New York crossover thrash/hardcore outfit EXTINCTION A.D. continue their relentless pace of releases throughout 2026. Adding another entry to the string of new material unveiled this year, the band has now presented listeners with a brand-new single titled “They Live, They Die.”

The latest offering from EXTINCTION A.D. pushes the band’s harsh and aggressive identity even further. Packed with dense thrash riffs, hard-hitting rhythms fueled by hardcore roots, and a destructive atmosphere, the track stands out as one of the most merciless recordings the band has delivered to date. Alongside its release on digital streaming platforms, a lyric video has also been made available for fans.

Speaking following the single’s release, vocalist and guitarist Rick Jimenez described the song as dirty, heavy, and high-energy. Jimenez also encouraged listeners to crank the volume all the way up and fully immerse themselves in the new track.

The five new songs released this year are being viewed as a significant indicator of a new chapter in EXTINCTION A.D.’s career. Active for more than a decade, the band continues to stay true to its roots while demonstrating a musical direction that is heavier, more dynamic, and increasingly aggressive.

The group has also been bringing its new material to the stage, continuing to perform a series of shows across the northeastern United States. Following a run of festival and club appearances throughout the summer, the band is also scheduled to perform at the Within These Walls 2026 event in Arizona this September.

Formed in Long Island, New York, in 2013, EXTINCTION A.D. are known for fusing the spirit of 1980s thrash metal with the attitude of 1990s hardcore. Thanks to their energetic live performances and uncompromising musical approach, the band has become one of the standout names in the modern crossover scene and is widely regarded as one of the genre’s most prolific acts today.
