Bringing together seasoned musicians from different eras of the Italian death metal scene, EYES OF AGONY have unveiled a new track bearing the band's own name. 'Eyes of Agony' is the second song to be revealed from their upcoming debut album, "When They Return", due out November 20 via Awakening Records. The track premiered on NoCleanSinging.com.

The lineup of EYES OF AGONY draws on considerable experience within the Italian death metal scene. Project founder Danny Cinicolo is known for his work with EXCIDIUM and MALEFICARUM, bands whose histories stretch back to the mid-1980s and the 1990s. Cinicolo had been working on compositions for this project for years, gradually developing them into a full-length album. The project began to take shape when he brought in his former MALEFICARUM bandmate Andrea Zanetti.

Zanetti's vocal career includes work with ICONOCLAST, SCHIZO, MONUMENTUM, SINOATH and MALEFICARUM. The lineup also features Davide Billia, whose credits include BEHEADED, HOUR OF PENANCE, ANTROPOFAGUS, PUTRIDITY and SEPTYCAL GORGE. Billia recorded the album's drum parts at his own MK2 Recording Studios. The guitar duties were handled by Massimo Boffa (Mind Control, Halley), while Fabrizio Biondi (Jesus), formerly of MECHANICAL GOD CREATION, took care of the bass.

Clocking in at 36 minutes across nine tracks, "When They Return" embraces an old-school death metal approach. EYES OF AGONY cite INCANTATION, NILE, CANNIBAL CORPSE, AT THE GATES and DEATH among their influences. Despite bringing together musicians based in different locations, Cinicolo and Zanetti have managed to create recordings that convey the feel of a cohesive band performing as a single unit.

The album was mixed and mastered by Luca Nicolucci at Comet Broadcasting Studio, while the cover artwork was created by Julian Mortuus.

Following the previously released 'Resuscitation Failed', EYES OF AGONY have now unveiled the album's title track, 'Eyes of Agony'. The new track is available through its premiere page. The earlier single, 'Resuscitation Failed', can be heard on Awakening Records' official YouTube channel.
