Swedish death metal band FARSOTH have announced their signing with M-Theory Audio, marking the occasion with the release of a music video for their new single, 'Chainsaw Cult'. The track serves as the first preview of the band's third full-length album, scheduled for release in spring 2027, offering an initial glimpse into the direction of the upcoming material.

With 'Chainsaw Cult', FARSOTH pay direct tribute to their roots in the Swedish old-school death metal tradition. Vocalist Joakim Mikiver explains that the song takes its inspiration from the HM-2 guitar pedal, which the band considers one of the defining elements of the Swedish death metal sound. Describing the track as a tribute to both the pedal and the music they grew up listening to, Mikiver comments:

“'Chainsaw Cult' is a celebration of the HM-2 pedal. This pedal is a cornerstone of the Swedish Old School Death Metal scene. It's all about the Death Metal Cvlt. This song is our way of paying tribute to the music we all grew up listening to.”

Formed in 2020 by former CARNAL FORGE and IN THY DREAMS guitarist Jari Kuusisto, FARSOTH established themselves in the Swedish death metal scene with their independently released debut album, "The Plague" (2022), followed by "Morbid Symphonies" (2023), released through Black Lion Records. The upcoming album will mark the band's first release under the M-Theory Audio banner.

Titled "Dominion of the Dead", the album was recorded with Staffan Lundholm (Dr. Living Dead!, Bibleblack), who joined the lineup as the band's full-time drummer. Guitarist Johnny Nymark had previously joined FARSOTH during the "Morbid Symphonies" era, making the new record the first to feature the band's current five-piece lineup.

Commenting on the new deal, Jari Kuusisto expressed the band's enthusiasm about joining forces with M-Theory Audio, adding that they look forward to the opportunities this partnership could open up. He also confirmed that the band's third album is set for release in 2027.

"Dominion of the Dead" will receive a worldwide release through M-Theory Audio in spring 2027. Before then, FARSOTH's next announced live appearance is scheduled for March 6 at Stockholm Extreme Sounds, where they will share the stage with BRUJERIA, GUTALAX and YOTH IRIA in Stockholm.
