Spain-based heavy rock trio GREEN DESERT WATER has made its new studio album Eerie Meadows available for streaming ahead of its official release date. The band will release the record on June 20 via Small Stone Recordings.

Comprised of eight tracks, Eerie Meadows brings together the band’s heavy psychedelic rock sensibilities with melodic and atmospheric touches. Blending the legacy of 1970s classic rock with a contemporary stoner and heavy rock approach, the album stands out through both its crushing riffs and fluid groove-driven songwriting.

The album arrives in the wake of Black Harvest, released in 2021, which solidified the band’s current lineup. Featuring Kike Sanchís on guitar and vocals, Juan Arias on bass, and Dani Bárcena on drums, the trio has established itself as one of the notable live acts on the European heavy rock circuit in recent years.

According to the band, the creative process behind the new album was centered on exploring the balance between heaviness and atmosphere. With themes such as nature, solitude, the cycle of life, and inner struggle taking center stage, Eerie Meadows is said to open up a broader emotional and musical landscape compared to the group’s previous works.

Recorded and mixed at Tutu Estudios in Spain, Eerie Meadows was co-produced by Diego Martinez and Sergio Tutu. The album was mastered by Chris Goosman at Baseline Audio Labs in Michigan, USA.

Across its 37-minute runtime, the album draws from classic heavy rock roots while merging the legacy of bands such as Sabbath and Mountain with a modern stoner rock aesthetic. From the opening track “Northern Lights” to the closing piece “Meteora,” the band explores themes of loss, survival, and humanity’s connection with nature.

In addition to digital and CD formats, Eerie Meadows will also be available as a limited-edition vinyl release in collaboration with Germany’s Kozmik Artifactz.
