Italian mystic doom trio MAISON DIEU have released ‘Dio Ci Vuole Nudi’, the first single from their debut album "Città Nascosta". The track showcases the band’s approach of combining doom metal weight with ancient rituals and folk elements, while its accompanying official video visually follows the song’s musical transformation.

The song opens with the hypnotic sound of the tagelharpa, a traditional Scandinavian instrument. Initially creating a calmer, dreamlike atmosphere, the track grows noticeably darker as the heavy guitars enter. As Ester’s vocals accompany the weight of the doom metal, psychedelic textures and ritual folk elements converge within the same composition.

This transformation is also reflected in the visual language of the official video for ‘Dio Ci Vuole Nudi’. The imagery begins with sunlit landscapes, white garments and folkloric movements before evolving into fire, blue light, body markings and an increasingly intense ritual atmosphere.

At the heart of ‘Dio Ci Vuole Nudi’ is the idea of stripping away artificially constructed elements and returning to something more primal. The earth, the body and the spiritual instinct hidden within us form the central themes of the track.

The band’s musical references span a wide range of artists, including Chelsea Wolfe, Wardruna, Nytt Land, MESSA, Acid King and BLACK SABBATH. MAISON DIEU bring these influences together around a doom metal foundation to shape their own approach.

"Città Nascosta" will be released on October 23, 2026 via Octopus Rising / Argonauta Records on CD and digital formats. Alongside ‘Dio Ci Vuole Nudi’, the album will feature ‘Caligramma’, ‘Bella Damina’, ‘Città Nascosta’, ‘Resta’, ‘River’, ‘Uroboro’, ‘Loba’ and ‘Angry Clement’.
