Belgian metalcore band X-POZED are set to end a 14-year album gap with their second studio album, "A Cure For Worse". Due out on September 12, 2026, the album will be the band's first full-length since 2012's "Essence Of Hope", while also documenting a reshaped second chapter in a career that began in 2007.

One of the most important turning points in the band's comeback came in 2024. After reuniting with their original lineup, X-POZED won the Alcatraz Bash competition, which featured more than 100 Belgian bands, earning them a spot at Alcatraz Open Air. The process opened the door for the band to begin a new chapter rather than simply revive its past.

"A Cure For Worse" takes shape as the musical counterpart to this second chapter. Across ten tracks, the album explores themes including betrayal, anger, psychological pressure, toxic cycles, revenge, forgiveness, and the search for support, while refusing to portray healing as a linear process. At its core, the album is about refusing to let the scars left by what happened determine what comes next.

This approach becomes particularly clear across three songs. The first single, 'Back Down', represents the album's defiant side, confronting the weight of the past and refusing to stay buried beneath it. 'Forgiveness', featuring guest vocals from MARCH vocalist Fleur Van Zuilen, moves into a different emotional territory. Meanwhile, closing track 'Better Days' looks beyond the darkness, emphasizing the decision to keep moving forward rather than promising a perfect resolution.

X-POZED say they have retained the metalcore, hardcore, and nu-metal foundation they have carried from their earlier years into the new album. The band aims to push its heavy riffs, powerful grooves, energetic drumming, and aggressive vocal approach further, making the sound tighter, more dynamic, and more melodic where necessary. In X-POZED's own words, the goal was not to reinvent the band, but to create "the strongest version" of its existing identity.

The album's production process also supports this approach to the band's new era. Recorded by X-POZED and Lander Cluyse at Studio Hearse in Heule, Belgium, the record was produced, mixed, and mastered by Cluyse. The album artwork was created by Eveline Bouttens, Pascal Beernaert, Hendrik Holderick, and Dieter Berton, while the photography was handled by Tania Foré.

X-POZED's second album arrives shortly before the band's 20th anniversary in 2027. "A Cure For Worse" therefore represents more than a new record after a lengthy hiatus; it marks the next lasting step in the comeback that began in 2024.

The band will also take the new material to the stage on the album's release day. X-POZED will celebrate the arrival of "A Cure For Worse" at Charlatan in Ghent, Belgium, on September 12, with TURPENTINE VALLEY and KERKER joining them for the release show.
