US melodic death metal band AETHER REALM have released their new single ‘Broken Fist’, featuring guest vocals from Taj Jewett. The track appears on the band’s upcoming studio album, “Season of Bloodshed”, due out on December 11, 2026, via Napalm Records. It combines the band’s melodic approach with 808 beats, synth arrangements, and symphonic elements. An official music video accompanies the single and is now available to watch.

‘Broken Fist’ offers a glimpse into the musical direction of the new album, which sees AETHER REALM bringing their trademark guitar melodies and groove-driven riffs together with modern electronic elements. Taj Jewett’s guest vocals are another key feature of the track.

“Season of Bloodshed” arrives after a turbulent period for the band since the release of their 2020 album “Redneck Vikings From Hell”. Alongside the global pandemic and Hurricane Helene, AETHER REALM also faced a lineup change during the recording process. Chris Jones joined the band following the departure of former guitarist Donny Burbage and features on the new album.

The band links the album’s central idea to anger that has been allowed to build up over time. According to AETHER REALM, “Season of Bloodshed” revolves around the emotions that accumulate in response to both the great injustices of our time and the small, everyday frustrations that test our patience. The band says these feelings find expression through harsh riffs, guitar solos, and breakdowns.

Alongside complex melodies and an aggressive guitar approach, the new album incorporates a darker atmosphere, bouncy grooves, and blackened folk elements. “Season of Bloodshed” will be available as a CD digipak, a black gatefold vinyl edition, a red-and-black splatter gatefold vinyl edition, and a digital album.

The eight-track album includes ‘The Blood Is Calling’, ‘Control’, ‘Get Fukt’, and ‘Achilles’ Heel’, alongside ‘Broken Fist’. “Season of Bloodshed” will be released via Napalm Records on December 11, 2026.
