BLOODSOAKED NECROVOID appear with three new tracks on the new split LP project “Funerary Rites of Ancient Doom”. The band’s side of the record forms its second half, following NEKUS’ 19-minute track ‘Dakhma’.

Following the shorter releases they have put out since their 2020 debut album “Expelled Into the Unknown Depths of the Unfathomable”, BLOODSOAKED NECROVOID make up for the reduced running times on these new recordings not with length, but with atmospheric density. Having relocated to Spain, the band take a more suffocating and atmospheric approach this time around, delivering three new tracks.

BLOODSOAKED NECROVOID’s side begins with ‘Intro’ before moving into ‘The Unreachable Exaltation of Consumption’ and ‘A Respite From the Swallowing of Existence’. While the band’s music leans closer to a slow-motion grind approach than conventional doom-death, its bestial rhythmic passages make the unsettling character of the material even more pronounced.

The new recordings are said to carry an even denser atmosphere than the band’s previous work, and this aspect of the split LP brings BLOODSOAKED NECROVOID’s heavy, claustrophobic sound world further to the fore.

The full stream and preorder information for “Funerary Rites of Ancient Doom” will be revealed next week. According to the tracklist released so far, the LP has a total running time of more than 35 minutes.
