CRUCIVORE Release New Video for “The Banished Torment”
CRUCIVORE unleash their final advance track
Portuguese death metal band CRUCIVORE have released a music video for ‘The Banished Torment’, the final advance single from their debut full-length album “Desecration”. The album is due out on November 13, 2026, via Testimony Records.
According to drummer Tomás Carvalho, speaking on behalf of the band, ‘The Banished Torment’ kicks into gear after its intro with blast beats, powerful double-kick sections, and heavy grooves. Pushing the tempo to its limits, the track maintains its intensity through forceful transitions and aggressive drum fills.
CRUCIVORE combine a death metal foundation with elements of brutal death metal and slam. On their debut album, “Desecration”, the band aim to pair this heavy approach with cinematic elements and dramatic storytelling. Drawing on the dark atmosphere of Lisbon, the album's lyrics revolve around corruption, decay, blasphemy, mortality, and apocalyptic imagery.
CRUCIVORE were founded on December 14, 2024, by former ANALEPSY vocalist Ricardo Proença and DOWNFALL OF MANKIND guitarist Sérgio Páscoa. Bringing together musicians with years of experience in the Portuguese metal scene, the band recorded their debut at Fingerprint Studio Lx in Lisbon, where Caesar Craveiro also handled mixing and mastering. The cover artwork was created by Rudi Gorging Suicide.
“Desecration” features 12 tracks, including ‘The Banished Torment’, ‘The Crucivore's Feast’, ‘Memento Mori’, and ‘Triumph of the Grotesque Disorder’.
