Polish death/thrash metal band GRÓB have released their long-awaited debut full-length album, “Ikonoklasta”, today, November 6, 2026, via Putrid Cult. Built around thrash, death and doom metal, the album also incorporates elements of punk and rock ’n’ roll into the band's sound.

Formed in Wrocław in 2019 as a studio project by Necromaniak (guitars, drums) and Death Dealer (vocals, lyrics), GRÓB initially set out to record raw yet catchy metal songs for a cassette release. Following two demos, the band issued the EPs “Mięsożerca” (2021) and “Misophonia” (2022) through Putrid Cult, followed by the 2025 split release “Groźby karalne / Żelazna Kurtyna” and a self-released live cassette. These releases paved the way for the band's first full-length effort.

While “Ikonoklasta” retains GRÓB's established lyrical approach, it also makes room for contemporary social issues. Tracks such as 'Okultyzm dla mas', 'Szczury Wrocławia' and 'Będziesz zabijał' address the near-religious devotion to drug use found in certain subcultures, as well as the horror of being caught in the middle of a military conflict. The album's thematic scope therefore extends beyond dark and aggressive narratives.

The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Jarosław Wysocki at Soundscope Studio, whose previous work includes LOST SOUL and SQUASH BOWELS. The cover artwork and layout were created by Artur von Ritter, known for his work with IN TWILIGHT’S EMBRACE, TOWARDS HELLFIRE and OWLS WOODS GRAVES.
