Brandenburg-based Black/Death Metal band HKSPK have released their new album alongside its third single, the title track ‘Heimkehr’. Released on September 11, 2026, “Heimkehr” is an eight-track work running approximately 25 minutes, combining the band’s cold Black Metal atmosphere with the physical weight of Death Metal.

The album’s physical edition is strictly limited. “Heimkehr” has been pressed in just 50 copies, with the edition available exclusively through the band’s official Bandcamp page. Digitally, the album can be streamed via YouTube, Spotify, and Bandcamp.

At the heart of the album, ‘Heimkehr’ also serves as its third single. Running for more than six minutes, the track is not only the longest piece on the record but also gives the release its title.

HKSPK handled the recording, mixing, and mastering of “Heimkehr” themselves at Room13. The cover artwork was created by Steffen Schmolke. The eight-track album features ‘Prelude’, ‘Torture’, ‘White Secretions II’, ‘Sonnenjäger’, ‘Kill The Weak’, ‘Rot In Despair’, ‘Rain In The Face’, and ‘Heimkehr’.

Several metal publications also reviewed the album ahead of its release. Extreme Metal listeners who crossed paths with the band may have read what was perhaps the first review from us, with the album receiving an 8/10 from PitStop Metal. LEGACY Magazine also devoted two pages to HKSPK in its current issue, awarding the album 13 points and highlighting it with a “TIP!” designation. SLAM Magazine, meanwhile, previously rated “Heimkehr” 9/10. No Clean Singing also published an exclusive full-album premiere and review on September 10.

HKSPK’s live schedule for the “Heimkehr” era is also underway. The band will perform at Spreewaldmosh on September 26, support HANGOVER IN MINSK at Spirale in Berlin on October 9, and take the stage at Kulturhaus Insel in Berlin on October 12. A special release show for the album is scheduled for November 28 at Seeterrasse in Frankfurt (Oder).
