German folk metal band SAGENBRINGER have released their new single 'Aztekengold'. The track will appear on the band's upcoming EP "Seensucht", due out on 19 February 2027 via NoCut!, and tells the story of treasure hunters driven by greed who stumble upon a cursed hoard of gold.

Discovered under the moonlight on the shore of a remote, deserted island, the Aztec gold initially seems like a golden opportunity for the treasure hunters. However, the story soon turns into a disaster. SAGENBRINGER build the track around a mid-paced structure, shaping its rhythmic character with powerful guitars, prominent drum beats and a full-bodied bass sound.

'Aztekengold' is one of five stories featured on "Seensucht", the band's second EP since last year's "Zwischen den Welten". Revolving around the sea and maritime legends, the release will feature four new tracks alongside a song that longtime followers of the band's early days have been eager to hear in a newly recorded version.

The other tales featured on the EP include the tricks played on sailors by the Klabautermann, a brawl in a tavern, and a voyage beyond the horizon with the crew.

You can listen to 'Aztekengold' here. Pre-orders for "Seensucht" are now available through the NoCut! shop.

Following their ongoing tour with TANZWUT, SAGENBRINGER will play six shows across Germany in March 2027 as part of the "Zwischen den Welten Epilog 2027" tour.
